Do I Have to be a Barre Instructor to Get Certified in the ORIGINAL method? Having prior experience or knowledge of barre before becoming certified in the ORIGINAL method, while not a formal requirement, certainly helps to set you up for success! We do find that ideally you should have some experience either taking barre classes or preferably teaching some sort of fitness, sports or yoga discipline so that you are comfortable with some of the basic anatomy and physical aspects of this method and teaching techniques. Having past experience, although considered an advantage but not essential, will help you get the most out of your training!
