{kelly}
Kelly is a lover of movement. She is a certified BASI Pilates Instructor and before training under Lotte Berk’s one and only daughter, Esther Fairfax Kelly taught Barre style fitness classes for many years. She always wanted to combine the two disciplines, as she felt there they were a perfect compliment to one another, until she found the TRUE Lotte Berk technique that Esther was still teaching out of her studio in England. Once she felt the work on her own body, she knew that this was the secret that women were looking for! No alteration or additions were needed! It was not just a workout it was truly, “a WORK of Art”.
Through extensive research on the ORIGINAL work of Lotte Berk, Kelly’s journey led her to England were she discovered Esther Fairfax and the secrets she had preserved over all these years. Lotte’s work had been altered so much over time that it was barely recognizable. The lengthening and toning that Kelly saw in such a small amount of time was unparalleled to anything she had ever seen or felt before. Kelly vowed to teach Lotte’s work in a way that America never got to see, to stay true to the genius design that she created so many years ago.
Kelly’s knowledge of the body through the various certifications (pre and post natal certified through The Center for WOMEN’s fitness) has allowed her to help all women (including pregnant ones) navigate through this very specific technique and also not only see, but feel exactly what made Lotte Berk such an iconic figure, literally! Kelly has a true passion for helping other’s and a gift for making exercise fun while making you work REALLY hard all at the same time. It’s all about precision and SHE will help you get there.

{pamela}
Pam trained with Cloud Nine Yoga and over the last four years made a name for herself teaching in Southern California teaching Yoga On The Beach; a movement created to offer free yoga to the Long Beach community and its surrounding areas. Always open to new ways to stay in shape and have fun, a year ago she began incorporating the ORIGINAL Lotte Berk Technique into her personal workouts, and she’s been hooked on the LONDON method classes ever since. By adding just two classes to her weekly regimen, Pam noticed significant results. Her waist started to pull in more, her core became stronger, and even though the exercises were small movements, they were challenging. She loved that the technique was designed specifically for women and that the classes were full of positive energy. She was hooked. Pam saw that Kelly was quickly growing out of her original space and approached her with an idea to expand into what’s now the Bluff Park Studio.
Pamela has made it her life’s mission to help spread the word of the ORIGINAL Lotte Berk technique. She has been to England several times to learn from Lotte’s daughter, Esther Fairfax and vowed to stay true to the moves that spawned the industry we know today as Barre. Women used to fly from all over the world to learn the exercises that are still as effective today as they were way back then. A purest when it comes to the work of Lotte Berk, Pam has become an international trainer of the method and looks forward to teaching and training others for many more years to come.

{ashley}
Ashley graduated from Cal State Northridge with a B.A. in Deaf Studies. She has always been active, participating in organized sports as a child and even through her college years. It was during her time in college that she discovered her passion for fitness after taking her first first barre/pilates class. She found it helped to alleviate her student stress from spending long hours in the classroom, studying and interpreting American Sign Language. She not only saw almost instant results in her body, she was also drawn to the energy and camaraderie from each class. In pursuing her passion for fitness she studied with BASI Pilates, Pop Physique, and the original Lotte Berk Barre workout. A cheerleader her whole life, Ashley brings enthusiasm and desire to help others reach their goals through physical activity, by creating a fun and challenging environment for her students.

{rachel}
From a young age Rachel always loved to dance. She started dancing at the age of 12 and quickly realized that she had a passion for lyrical and ballet. She perfected her dance technique at a performing arts high school and focused on tap, ballet, jazz and modern dance. After experiencing an injury, she was introduced to pilates as means of physical therapy, and she fell in love with it instantly. Rachel then went on to become a certified BASI Pilates instructor, and began teaching at local studios in Long Beach. She then found her way to the London Method, and after taking her first class she knew it was ‘the one’; the most efficient barre class she had taken yet! The fluid movements and effectiveness of the class reminded her of former ballet barre classes that she was so fond of. Rachel is excited to teach here at TLM’s Bluff Park Studio, and brings passion and precision to every class!

{stephanie}
Stephanie is a Southern California native who now calls Long Beach home. She took dance for 15 years and also worked as dance teacher. Eventually, she discovered pilates and fell in love with the discipline. Stephanie completed her undergrad at UCSB, where she earned a degree in Sociology and a minor in Literature, before moving back to Southern California to earn her teaching credential from Cal State Long Beach. While working as a middle school teacher, Stephanie became a certified pilates instructor. This was the first work out she felt truly connected to since her childhood dancing. Stephanie then went on to get her barre certification, and most recently trained to teach at the London Method in Long Beach—learning the original Lotte Berk style of barre. Stephanie currently teaches barre, pilates, the London Method, tutors students from elementary through high school, and travels the world every chance she gets.

{karen}
Karen is passionate about helping people connect with their bodies and breath. A long time yoga practitioner, she saw first-hand the many benefits that came from moving in a way that emphasized awareness. She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2012 and also holds a certificate in yoga therapy from Loyola Marymount University. A few months after her yoga training, Karen took her first barre class, and it was then that she realized how transformative and empowering exercise could be. She went on to get her barre certification under the guidance of Kelly, and when she brought the true work of Lotte Berk back to Long Beach she knew she wanted to be a part of the original method. Karen’s style of teaching is precise and light-hearted, and she loves creating upbeat and motivating playlists.

{corinne}
Like many young women, Corinne’s interest in fitness and overall wellness began shortly after the birth of her first child. After discovering tremendous self-confidence and contentment with her newfound athleticism, Corinne felt compelled to share it with others. She became a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and worked for two of the largest fitness clubs in the country, all while participating in triathlons, half marathons, and similar events in Southern California.
She competed only against herself, continually setting and exceeding progressively more difficult goals at events like Camp Pendleton’s Heartbreak Ridge Half Marathon, the Temecula Challenge Triathlon, Redlands Duathlon, Lake Elsinore’s Gladiator Mud Run, Tinsel Triathlon in Hemet, and the Rugged Maniac Obstacle Race in Temecula. Corinne quickly became enamored with The London Method after meeting Kelly, who studied directly with Lotte Berk’s daughter, Esther. Thanks to Kelly’s tutelage, Corinne instantly felt at home with The London Method and eager to share this particularly unique and special gift with any and all women ready to be empowered by it.
